Schumens disease is usually common among adolescent boys. It is easy to ignore by braces and clinicians. Inexperienced doctors will also think that it is improper posture and tell parents to remind their children to lift their heads up and chest out. Some parents also buy soft braces of the Back Good type to help children improve their hunchback. Soft braces can only play a preventive role, but once a significant humpback deformity is formed and Schumans disease is diagnosed, a rigid Kyphologic brace is needed to correct it. The following is a recent case of brace preparation in our studio: A 14-year-old boy, Risser Grade 4, with a thoracic kyphosis angle of 52, which was outside the normal range, and a wedge change in the thoracic 7th and surrounding vertebral bodies. Lateral observation of the body shows obvious kyphosis of the chest and back, forming a humpback. Considering that boys usually have an extended period of development to 17 years of age and that patients are willing to receive correction, they are prepared for kyphosis correction. X-ray examination after wearing the brace showed that the thoracic kyphosis angle was 34, which had obvious corrective effect. Picture

休门氏症通常在青春期阶段的男孩中多见,支具师和临床医生都容易忽视,缺少经验的医生也会认为是姿势不端正,告知家长提醒孩子“抬头挺胸”即可,也有家长购买“背背佳”类型的软性支具,来帮助孩子改善驼背,软支具才能开始使用预防的作用,但一旦形成明显的创伤字形,就需要使用硬的创伤支具（Kyphologic brace）来进行纠正,下面是近期在我们工作室配备支具的案例：一名14岁的男孩,Risser 4级,段后弯曲角度为52°,超过正常范围,7及周边身体有字形变形,身体侧方观察可见胸背部明显后凸,形成驼背,考虑到男孩通常发育期会延长至17周岁,且患者有意愿接受矫正,因此为其配制脊柱后凸支具矫正,佩戴支具后拍片检查,显示胸椎后凸角度为34°,有明显的矫正作用,【图片】
